Job Description & Requirements
These parents are looking for a warm, experienced, dependable caregiver to support their family with their newborn twin boys. This role is primarily focused on infant care while mom is home on maternity leave, working alongside her to help establish routines, provide an extra set of hands, and ensure each baby receives attentive, loving care.
The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, confident caring for multiple infants, and proactive without being overbearing. They are comfortable taking initiative when needed while also respecting that parents remain the primary caregivers. Experience with newborns—and ideally twins or multiples—is highly valued.
They are looking for someone who:
- Has significant newborn care experience (experience with twins is a strong asset)
- Is patient, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys working with infants
- Is organized and able to keep track of two feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules
- Can safely bottle-feed, burp, soothe, change diapers, and put babies down for naps
- Understands safe sleep practices and follows current infant care recommendations
- Is reliable, punctual, and communicates openly
- Is comfortable helping wherever needed, whether that’s holding one baby while mom feeds the other, washing bottles, folding baby laundry, or tidying the nursery
- Is CPR and infant first aid certified
- Has strong references and a clear background check
Still determining if need both day and night or just day support – Mum is still recovering from pre-eclampsia and a c-section. There are no pets in the home and no other children. There is driveway parking available. There is an allergy to gluten in the home.
