  • What is Bootcamp?

Boot camp is a whole-body workout that builds strength and endurance. Bootcamp workouts offer challenging and varied exercises, that require little or no special equipment.

  • How old should my baby before I attend?

You should be at least 6 weeks postpartum and have the all-clear from your doctor.

  • How long are the sessions?

The postnatal fitness sessions are 1 hour long. You are free to go at your own pace, stop when your body tells you to or if your baby needs your attention.

  • Do I need to be at a certain fitness level to attend these classes?

No! You are a postnatal mother and we are here firstly to support your return to exercise. Our classes are for new moms of any fitness level. It does not matter whether you have exercised before or not. Starting to exercise after a baby will feel different and we want to help you have fun and enjoy the class with your baby. You exercise at the rate and pace that you are comfortable with.

  • What should I wear?

A well-fitted sports bra is any new mother’s best friend! Comfortable stretchy layers of clothing and supportive running/walking shoes are best for most fitness classes but in the pelvic floor core restore class you may be asked to remove your shoes to protect the yoga mats and keep them clean especially when you have your little one with you.

  • What equipment do I need?

A very well fitted sports bra if that counts as equipment. You may want to bring a towel and water for yourself and for the baby bring all the usual items but also a blanket to place them on during the class.

  • What if my baby cries?

Our classes take place in a studio specifically designed for purpose, led by experienced instructors and taken by fellow new moms. You are in a safe place where everyone around you understands that all babies cry. At any time that your baby needs your attention you are free to stop and give them the care and attention that they need for however long they need it.

  • What happens if I need to feed my baby?

Please, stop and feed your baby at any time that you need to. To minimize feedings for the hour of your class we suggest offering your baby a feed before your session starts.

  • What if this is my first exercise after having a baby?

You know your body best so do what feels right for you. Don’t overexert yourself, as movements you did before the baby will feel very different post-baby. Consider taking our postnatal yoga (mom & baby yoga) classes or stroller fit classes as a more gentle introduction to a fitness regime. Ensure that you get the all clear from your Doctor or midwife before resuming exercise of any nature. Its important that your body has recovered sufficiently from pregnancy and birth before starting any fitness activity.
