Job Description & Requirements
These first-time parents are seeking overnight support for their baby in December. Their ideal candidate is warm, kind, patient and understanding, and who can provide a calm, reassuring presence during the newborn stage. They value someone who is comfortable sharing practical guidance and insights when helpful, while also respecting their preferences and helping them build confidence as new parents. They won’t have a large amount of family support nearby, so they are hoping to find someone who feels like a genuine source of support for their household during those early weeks. Their goal is to be able to get meaningful rest overnight, knowing their baby is in capable and caring hands, so that they can be present, rested and the best parents they can be during the day. Ideally, they are looking for someone who is experienced with newborns, reliable, nurturing, communicative and proactive, without being overly rigid or prescriptive. They would love someone who can meet them where they are, help them learn their baby, and make the transition into parenthood feel a little less overwhelming.
They would be happy for the night nanny to assist with light baby-related tasks overnight, such as washing/sterilizing bottles and pump parts, preparing bottles/formula, organizing and restocking baby supplies, and keeping the nursery tidy. Baby laundry would also be helpful if it can be done quietly without disrupting the household. They would also really value guidance around newborn care, feeding, settling/sleep, routines and what is normal to expect as their baby changes in the early weeks.
Their main priority overnight is baby care and allowing them to get as much rest as reasonably possible. Please note that the mom has allergies – nuts, sesame, avocado, crustaceans, mangoes. They have no pets. Driveway parking available.
